This movie shows the three components of the seafloor mapping program at Explorer Ridge during the 2002 Submarine Ring of Fire expedition. Explorer Ridge and the Magic Mountain hydrothermal vent field were mapped with increasing detail using sonars from the ship and from the autonomous underwater vehicle ABE.
